Publication Agreement

Publication Agreement

By submitting a manuscript to Dialogues in Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS), the author(s) confirm that they have read and agreed to the journal’s submission requirements, publication policies, and ethical standards. Submission of a manuscript to DHSS constitutes the author(s)’ formal declaration that the work complies with the following conditions:

Author Declarations

The author(s) confirm that:

  • the submitted manuscript is original and has not been published previously, in whole or in part, in any journal, book, conference proceeding, or other formal publication outlet;

  • the manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere at the time of submission;

  • all listed authors have approved the manuscript and consented to its submission to Dialogues in Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS);

  • the manuscript does not contain plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, or any material that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, obscene, or otherwise in violation of accepted academic and legal standards;

  • the submission has been prepared in accordance with the journal’s Author Guidelines, formatting requirements, citation style, and editorial policies; and

  • all necessary permissions have been obtained for the use of copyrighted material, third-party content, data, images, tables, or other material included in the manuscript.

File Format and Submission Requirements

Authors are required to submit manuscripts in an editable file format acceptable to the journal, such as Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF, and to ensure that the manuscript is properly formatted in accordance with the journal’s submission requirements. Authors should also ensure that all tables, figures, illustrations, references, and supplementary materials are presented appropriately within the manuscript or uploaded in accordance with the journal’s instructions.

Exclusive Consideration

Submission of a manuscript to DHSS implies that the manuscript is being offered to the journal for exclusive consideration during the editorial and peer-review process. Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to another journal, publisher, or publication outlet while it is under review by DHSS.

If, after submission, the author(s) wish to withdraw the manuscript in order to submit it elsewhere, they must formally notify the journal in writing before any editorial decision or publication process is completed. Such withdrawal will be treated in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies.

Compliance with Journal Policies

By submitting to DHSS, authors agree to comply with all relevant journal policies, including those relating to:

  • originality and plagiarism;

  • authorship and author contributions;

  • conflict of interest disclosure;

  • funding disclosure;

  • peer review;

  • copyright and licensing; and

  • publication ethics and academic integrity.

Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s submission, ethical, or formatting requirements may be returned to the author(s) for correction, placed on hold, or declined by the journal.
