Advertising Policy

Dialogues in Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS) welcomes advertising and sponsorship opportunities that are consistent with the journal’s academic mission, ethical standards, and scope in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and related interdisciplinary areas. Advertising may be accepted from academic institutions, research organizations, publishers, conference organizers, professional associations, and other entities whose products, services, or activities are relevant to scholarly communication and research.

All advertisements must comply with applicable laws, professional standards, and principles of academic integrity. Advertising content must be accurate, lawful, non-deceptive, and respectful in tone, and must not contain misleading claims, discriminatory material, offensive content, or anything inconsistent with the values and reputation of the journal.

Editorial Independence

Acceptance of advertising by DHSS does not imply endorsement of the advertiser, its products, services, or views by the journal, its editors, editorial board, or publisher. All editorial decisions, including peer review, acceptance, rejection, and publication of manuscripts, are made independently of advertising, sponsorship, or other commercial considerations. Advertising and sponsorship have no influence over the journal’s editorial processes, policies, or academic content.

Review and Approval of Advertisements

All advertising material is subject to review by the journal and/or publisher prior to acceptance. DHSS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline, withdraw, or remove any advertisement that is considered inappropriate, misleading, inaccurate, unlawful, or inconsistent with the journal’s mission, ethical standards, or editorial policies.

Advertisements must be clearly distinguishable from editorial and scholarly content. The placement, format, and presentation of advertisements shall be managed in a way that avoids confusion between advertising and published academic material.

Financial and Administrative Matters

Advertising arrangements, including placement, duration, format, and any applicable charges, are subject to agreement with the journal or publisher. The journal reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or discontinue advertising arrangements where contractual terms are not met or where continued publication of the advertisement is considered inconsistent with journal policy.
