Author(s) Contribution

Dialogues in Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS) requires a clear statement of each author’s contribution to the submitted work. An Author Contributions Statement should be provided with the manuscript and will be published with the article where required by the journal.

The purpose of this statement is to ensure transparency in authorship and to clarify the specific intellectual and practical contributions made by each listed author. Contributions may include, where applicable, conceptualization of the study, research design, data collection, data analysis, interpretation of findings, drafting of the manuscript, critical revision, supervision, funding acquisition, or overall project administration.

Authorship Information

At the time of submission, all authors, including the principal author, corresponding author, and co-authors, must provide the following information:

  • full name;
  • institutional affiliation;
  • valid email address; and
  • contact details as required by the journal.

This information should be included in the title page / first page of the manuscript and entered accurately in the journal’s online submission system.

ORCID Identifiers

Authors are strongly encouraged to provide their ORCID iD at the time of submission to support accurate author identification, improve discoverability, and ensure correct attribution of scholarly work.

Acknowledgements

The Acknowledgements section should identify individuals, institutions, or organizations that contributed substantially to the research or manuscript preparation but do not meet the criteria for authorship. This may include, for example, technical assistance, language editing, administrative support, access to data or materials, or other forms of scholarly assistance. Authors are responsible for ensuring that any person named in the acknowledgements has agreed to be acknowledged.

DHSS expects all authorship and contribution information to be accurate, transparent, and consistent with the journal’s policies on authorship, publication ethics, and academic integrity.
