Open Access Policy

Dialogues in Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS) is a fully open-access journal. All content published in the journal is made freely and permanently available online to readers worldwide without subscription charges, access fees, or paywall restrictions.

DHSS believes that open access supports the wider dissemination of scholarly knowledge, increases the visibility and impact of research, and promotes academic exchange across institutions, disciplines, and geographical boundaries. In keeping with this commitment, users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, share, and use the journal’s published content for lawful non-commercial scholarly, educational, and research purposes without requesting prior permission from the journal or publisher, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and to Dialogues in Humanities and Social Sciences (DHSS) as the source of first publication.

All articles published in DHSS are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC 4.0). Under this licence, users may also adapt, reproduce, and redistribute the published material for non-commercial purposes, provided that:

  • appropriate attribution is given to the original author(s) and the journal;

  • a reference or link to the applicable licence is provided; and

  • any changes made to the original work are clearly indicated.

Authors retain copyright in their published work and may reuse, archive, share, and disseminate their articles in accordance with the journal’s Copyright and Licensing Policy and the terms of the applicable Creative Commons licence.

Any commercial use of content published in DHSS must comply with the terms of the relevant licence and, where required, obtain appropriate permission from the copyright holder(s).
